Director’s Notes

This was my first student film, shot entirely in black and white on 8mm film, based on the opening scene of a feature length script I created in 1999 after the Columbine shootings. It is a story that looks at fear, paranoia and high school violence. I admit that this was a very ambitious first film. I didn't have the special effects or the directing know how that I do today. But this film was a good stepping stone and you can definitely see the beginnings of my visual and storytelling style.
