THE EXPERIMENTAL YEARS

1997

Bairfilm is born when Eric Bair attempts to adapt "Star Wars:Shadows of the Empire" into a short film series and creates an opening logo that harks back to the golden Lucasfilm logo.

1999

Eric Bair makes his first short film with Matt Capurro, "The Bair Witch Project".

Eric Bair and Matt Capurro continue to experiment with different genres including a horror sequel, "The Bair Witch Project 2", a pair of lightsaber action shorts, "Jedi Battle 1&2" and a mockumentary, "Stormtroopers:Behind the Mask".

2000

The opening scenes of "Nightmare on Cherrythorne Lane" are filmed as an early attempt at a feature length comedy horror film. Eric Bair tries out stop motion animation with "Star Wars" action figures.

THE FILM SCHOOL YEARS

"High School Rivals" becomes Eric Bair's first student project to be shot on 8mm film.

2001

Bairfilm's first short documentary "Behind the Mic" is released with the short sci-fi thriller "Time Lapse".

2002

Three short films debut: the action short "Force Fight:Episode I - Key to the Tide of War", the comedy short "All the Wrong Moves" and the drama short "Simple Complications".

2003

Eric Bair co-directs for the first time the dark comedy short film "Facts Machine", makes the mockumentary "Smugglers:Behind the Stash" with Matt Capurro and Eric Phillips and films his first spec commercial "M&M Got Milk?" on 35mm film.

2004

The documentary short film "Behind the Act" is released and the fantasy drama short film "Living Dreams" premieres at the Academy of Art Filmfest to an award win for Best Director.

CREATIVITY UNLEASHED

2007

"Heinz.Yeah! It's Just that Good!" becomes Eric Bair's second spec commercial as an entry for the Heinz Top This TV Challenge.

2008

The spec commercials "Heinz. A Favorite Passed Down Through the Generations" and "Heinz. Still Great After All These Years!" join the competition in the Heinz Top This TV Challenge Take Two, the spec commercial "Dibs, Too Good to Gamble!" becomes a top ten finalist in the Dibs Bite-Sized Filmfest and the final chapter of the "Behind the Mic" documentary trilogy "Behind the Lights" debuts.

2009

The horror short film "Derelict Abyss" premieres at the Sacramento International Film Festival and wins four awards on the festival circuit.

2010

The comedy short film "Male Order Bride" premieres at the Golden Lion Film Festival and the parody promos "Wookiee Cookies Commercial", "Obi Show Promo" and "RX Pilot Informercial" are released.

2013

The drama short film "Artificial Beauty" premieres at the Action on Film International Film Festival.

2014

The romantic dramedy short film "@Social #Connection" premieres at the Action on Film International Film Festival.

2018

The dramatic thriller short film "Descensus ad Mortem" premieres at the Action on Film International Film Festival and wins two awards on the festival circuit.
